The EASLCE 2026 conference will take place in the Utrecht city centre, near the Janskerkhof. Janskerkhof is about a 10–15 minute walk from Utrecht Central Station, and the surrounding area offers a wide range of hotels, hostels, and B&Bs in different price categories.
We strongly recommend booking early: April is a busy month in Utrecht.
Note on 2026 pricing: Due to a change in Dutch tax law, the VAT on overnight stays will rise from 9% to 21% as of 2026, while the Utrecht city tourist tax will go from 8.5% to 10%. Consequently, accommodation prices are expected to increase. We therefore strongly advise participants to book as early as possible.

4. Hotels near Utrecht Central Station
If you prefer to be directly next to the station (for example if you are arriving late or leaving early), there are several larger chain hotels within a few minutes’ walk of Utrecht Centraal and still only about 10–15 minutes on foot (or a short bus ride) from Janskerkhof:
- NH Utrecht – high-rise hotel just next to the Jaarbeurs convention centre, about 10 minutes’ walk from the historic centre. (NH Hotels)
- Hampton by Hilton Utrecht Central Station – located inside the Hoog Catharijne complex, directly adjacent to the station. (booking.com)

5. Staying outside Utrecht (reachable by train)
For participants who prefer to stay elsewhere in the Netherlands, Utrecht is very well connected by rail. From Utrecht Central Station there are frequent direct trains to cities such as:
- Amsterdam (approx. 25–30 minutes)
- Amersfoort (approx. 15–20 minutes)
- Hilversum (approx. 15–20 minutes)
- Rotterdam and The Hague (approx. 35–45 minutes)
If you choose to stay in another city, we recommend selecting a hotel close to that city’s main station and planning for a daily train commute to Utrecht Centraal. From Utrecht Centraal you can walk to Janskerkhof in 10–15 minutes or take a short bus ride (several lines stop at the Janskerkhof bus stop).
For a more rural option just outside the city, there are also B&Bs in villages along the river Vecht (e.g. Klein Zuylenburg in Oud-Zuilen), reachable by local bus or bike plus bus from Utrecht. (Discover Utrecht)
