Fee Waivers

We are pleased to offer a limited number of Registration Fee Waivers to applicants who would otherwise be unable to attend the 2026 EASLCE Conference in Utrecht, thanks to the generous support of the Critical Pathways research community. Fee waivers cover the 4-day conference registration fee, associated catering, and a ticket to the conference dinner.

Eligibility requirements:

Applicants must:

  • Be presenting at the 2026 EASLCE Conference (individual paper, panel, roundtable, or creative contribution).
  • Demonstrate financial need (see application procedure below).
  • Identify as one or more of the following (no single category required):
    • Early Career Researcher (student or within 5 years of degree completion)
    • Independent or unaffiliated scholar
    • Precariously employed academic (adjunct, temporary, part-time, or short-term contract)
    • Artist, writer, or practitioner without institutional conference support
    • Researcher or practitioner based in the Global South or at an institution with limited funding opportunities

Application procedure:

  1. A current CV
  2. A single PDF document (max. two pages) containing the following information:
    1. Name, current affiliation or status (e.g. “independent scholar,” “community organiser,” “artist,” “PhD candidate”).
    2. Contact details (email address, phone number).
    3. Title of accepted contribution.
    4. Names of co-authors (if applicable).
    5. A brief statement of financial need, including details on any potential institutional or external funding sources (if any).
    6. A short outline (max 300 words) of:
