Note: please be careful crossing the street around Janskerkhof!

There is two-way traffic on the road and bike lanes on either side. The safest way to cross is to walk ca. 100 metres west and cross at the zebra crossing.

Janskerkhof 2-3

The main entrance is on the front side of the building and faces the Janskerkhof. This entrance is not wheelchair accessible. An alternative entrance can be found at the south side of the building and is accessible via Telingstraat and Hoogt. Navigate using Google Maps through this link.

The building has an elevator that serves all three floors. At the main entrance, turn left through the corridor, until you reach the wooden stairs. The elevator is on the left.

The building has one accessible toilet. Upon entering via the main entrance turn left, up to the wooden staircase. The toilet is on the left. All-gender toilets can be found on both the ground floor and first floor.

JK2-3 has a quiet and lactation room in the basement, room -1.04. The room contains a sink, hot water, fridge, chair, bench and table. It is unlocked and can be locked from the inside.

During the conference, we will be using seminar rooms on the ground floor and the first and second floors of the building. Volunteers will be at the location to guide you to the rooms, but the routes can also be found via this link. Note that room 2.17 is not wheelchair accessible.

Janskerkhof 15a

The entrance of Janskerkhof 15a is located at the south side of the building, facing the north side of the Janskerkhof square. Note that this building is not wheelchair accessible. 

The building does have an accessible toilet. From the main entrance go straight ahead through the corridor, past the staircase, and at the end of the hallway on the left. JK15a also has an all-gender toilet, located on the first floor.

This building does not have a lactation, first aid or quiet room. The nearest one can be found at JK2–3 (see above). 

Drift 13

The entrance is situated under an overhang on the east side of the street. It is wheelchair accessible. There are no elevators present but during the conference we will only be using the lecture hall 0.04 which is on the ground floor. 

The building has no accessible toilet. The nearest one is at the University Library at Drift 27. Drift 13 does have an all-gender toilet on the first floor.

This building does not have a lactation, first aid or quiet room. The nearest one can be found at JK2-3 (see above).

Academiegebouw / University Hall

The University Hall is located at Domplein 29. The entrance is located at the south side of the Domplein overlooking the statue of Jan van Nassau. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible but has heavy doors. If you have trouble opening the door, ring the bell and someone will assist you. 

The Aula, where the conference dinner will be held, is located on the ground floor. 

The building has an accessible toilet on the ground floor. From the main entrance turn left and it’s on the right hand side after about 8 metres. There is no all-gender toilet.

The building does not have a lactation, first aid or quiet room. The nearest one can be found at Kromme Nieuwegracht 80.

Disabled parking spaces: Domstraat 56, Lucasbolwerk 9-10, Neude 11, and Voetiusstraat 3.

The nearest bus stop for JK2-3, JK15A and D13 is ‘Janskerkhof’. 

For the University Hall, the bus stop ‘Domplein’ is also an option.

University Utrecht provides wireless internet (Wi-Fi) in most buildings.

Visitors to the University can connect to the wireless network “UU-visitor”. No credentials are required, though you must accept the agreement shown in your internet browser after connecting.

Eduroam is available as well. Connect using the credentials from your home institution.

You can also obtain a day code for eduroam yourself. Various TV screens in the UU buildings display the day code, and you can also ask for the code at the registration desk.

Guests can text this day code to the given phone number and receive a login name and password for eduroam by SMS. This is valid for the whole day.
